I’ve tried using Frost because people say it’s the best choice to go with, but i find it to be utterly useless i die more with it then i did with fire, i’m also thinking of trying arcane but i’d like to know is it worth it?

Should i stick with Frost?
Switch Back to Fire?
Or give Arcane a Shot?

Thankyou for your time.

gotta think you kinda new if you don’t know this. you don’t mention level or race, two important facts. no big.

your job in a group is crowd control, and frost is slowing. most frost spells have a chill or freeze effect that fully or partially immobilizes an enemy. this will come in handy for kiting.

fire spells are primarily damage-dealing spells, including direct single-target damage and area of effect (AoE) damage. good, but you create huge amounts of threat.

    arcane is heavy on utility.

fire is better suited to instances or group PvE, where the Mage is more likely to have a tank in front of them and can simply focus on dealing damage without worrying as much about being hit. frost is likely to be better for most other scenarios, including soloing and PvP, because although frost damage is lower, its slowing and snare effects are the only thing a Mage has to compensate for their lack of durability.

For Love of the Game

I started this blog because I love World of Warcraft SO much. It will be a work in progress over the years, as long as WoW remains available to their vast player base. I hope to read a lot of feedback from fellow fans as the site becomes more comprehensive.
